1. Overview

By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, and contributors of content.

2. Natural Material Disclaimer

Wood is a living, breathing material.

  • Character: Variations in grain, color, knots, and "imperfections" (like spalting) are natural characteristics of the hardwoods we use and are not considered defects.

  • Acclimation: Wood may expand or contract slightly depending on the humidity and temperature of your home. We are not responsible for natural wood movement that occurs after the item has been delivered.

3. Accuracy of Information

We do our best to display the colors and textures of our products accurately. However, we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any color will be 100% accurate. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.

4. Custom Orders & Personalization

For items involving custom dimensions or laser engraving:

  • You are responsible for ensuring all spelling and design details provided are correct.

  • Once production has begun on a custom piece, the order cannot be canceled or changed.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any portion of our designs or products without express written permission from Fenton River Woodworks.

6. Limitation of Liability

Fenton River Woodworks shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct/indirect damages of any kind—including lost profits or replacement costs—arising from your use of any of our products (such as somatic tools or furniture). Use all tools as intended and at your own risk.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut.

Intellectual Property & Ownership

1. Trademarks and Logos

The name Fenton River Woodworks, our logos, and any custom branding used on our products or website are the exclusive property of Fenton River Woodworks. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or "impersonation" of our brand is strictly prohibited.

2. Original Product Designs

All products—including our Somatic Sculpting Tools, Grounding Supports, and custom furniture designs—are original works of craftsmanship.

  • You agree not to reverse-engineer, replicate, or manufacture "knock-off" versions of our tools or unique designs for commercial sale.

  • Our unique designs for myofascial release, somatic healing and Kitchen/ Home products are protected as the proprietary intellectual property of this shop.

3. Content and Copy

All "sayings," product descriptions, instructional text, and photography on this website are owned by Fenton River Woodworks. You may not copy our marketing language or "somatic" descriptions to sell competing products.

4. Enforcement

We take the theft of our designs and brand identity seriously. Any unauthorized use of our IP will result in immediate legal action and a permanent ban from our services.
