Refund policy
Fenton River Woodworks Return & Refund Policy
"Damage claims must be submitted within 2 days of delivery."
Policy on Product Integrity and Transit Damage At Fenton River Woodworks, we take immense pride in the quality and heirloom finish of every piece that leaves our shop. Because our items are handcrafted from premium solid hardwoods and made-to-order, we do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for "buyer's remorse," changes of mind, or custom personalized commissions.
We only handle order resolutions strictly in cases of manufacturing defects or items verifiably damaged in transit before delivery.
Reporting Shipping Damage or Deficiencies Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If your item arrives with a structural defect or suffered severe damage during shipping, you must report it to us within 2 Days of the delivery timestamp.
- To file a claim: Email info@fentonriverwoodworks.com with your order number and clear, high-resolution photos of both the damaged item and the original, unaltered shipping packaging.
- Resolution: Claims will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Verified transit damage or structural defects will be corrected at no additional shipping cost to the buyer via repair or replacement at our discretion.
Exchanges We do not accept standard retail exchanges. Replacements are issued exclusively for items that arrive verifiably defective or structurally compromised due to transit.
International Orders — Defective Items Only (Germany & United Kingdom)
For international orders, we accept claims on defective or damaged items only. Claims must be submitted within 2 days of delivery. To initiate a claim, email info@fentonriverwoodworks.com with your order number and clear, high-resolution photos of the defective item and original packaging.
Approved claims will be resolved via full refund or replacement at our discretion. Defective items do not need to be returned. There are no restocking fees for approved defective international claims.
We do not accept returns for change of mind, preference, or custom/personalized items on international orders. Natural wood grain variations, color tone, and character markings are not considered defects.
Natural Material Variations Wood is a living, natural material. Variations in grain pattern, color tone, knots, and unique natural character (such as spalting or specific figure) are standard, expected characteristics of premium hardwoods and are entirely structural. These natural variations are not manufacturing defects and do not qualify for a replacement or claim.
